Frieze, FIAC are over. Soon hometown art festival a fair called Art Basel Miami with its sattelites, mostly highlighted by their quality with Art Miami and Scope. It would make the art world in its caravan at my feet.

Fiac was good quality driven with the overall displayed works.

The ground floor was mostly busy with worldwide galleries used with the artfair world tour. The choice of works and more space to view it with less labyrinth was a good improval.

For the upper level, it has been more confusing and in the meantime more challenging for visitors to get a good view of the art today.  But, discoveries of some "new" artists were highly possible. They were displayed in more space than last year in an ever expanding remodelling policy of the Grand Palais building.

Of course, it was made possible to have all this time for seeing this artfair because I had an all-week entry. Collectors, VIP could visit as much as they want or attend. I know a lot of people limited by the restricted number of week passes and pricing for the entry or catalogue. An art fair is aswell a commercial project. Anyway, some galleries, art collectors and admirers couldn't make it as they wished. Some Parisian satelitte artfairs as Art Elysées made the preview tickets as an all-week entry pass and dailly invitations are for two persons instead of one at FIAC. It helped already some chosen one. But it widens the range of officionados on their fair. Moreover, as direct neighbour of Grand Palais, they had the good vibes of FIAC visitors.

It is this global trend from FIAC to Art Basel to be more selective because you are one of the best artfair in the world. The happy-few could have fun and the others try to be happy-few or just leave the game really disappointed.

Anyway, last week was great; Now time for bathing and not only in Champagne!
